Turnaround Times
A seasoned translator can produce approximately 2,500 words every day on average (in A4 pages, this is about 7 pages containing 350 words each). It goes without saying that speed is directly linked to the difficulty of the text. The lead time for a text that is relatively easy to translate is significantly shorter. But a legal or technical brainteaser will require more time. It is impossible to specify an “average lead time” for translation work, for the simple reason that “average translation work” does not exist.
